Parking
Metered parking
Metered parking is available throughout Lancaster City and is in operation Monday-Saturday with free, metered parking on Sundays. The meters are maintained and managed by the Lancaster Parking Authority (LPA). To report a broken parking meter, please contact the LPA by calling (717) 299-0907. Questions or concerns about parking tickets received at metered parking spots should be directed to the Bureau of Police at (717) 735-3332.
Residential and Neighborhood parking permits
Residential and neighborhood parking permits are available to City residents. Residential permits are valid for daily parking only while neighborhood permits are for evening hours. For more information on how to obtain parking permits, please contact Customer Service at (717) 735-3425.
On-Street Handicapped Spaces
On-street handicapped spaces are available for City residents with disabilities. For consideration, please fill out the required application below. The Bureau of Police will review the application and determine if a space is warranted. City garages
Lancaster City has four public parking garages located at King, Prince, Duke and Water Streets. Garages are operated and maintained by the LPA with an hourly fee of $2.00 for the first hour and $1.00 for any hour thereafter. LPA also offers monthly garage parking for those living and working in the City.
